DIFF Video: Glen Keane, DIFF 2012′s Texas Avery Animation Award Recipient

Posted on by

The peeps at DIFF 2012′s Digital Studio at Mockingbird Station snagged a few minutes with Glen Keane, this year’s recipient of the Texas Avery Animation Award presented by REEL FX. Don’t know who Keane is? You know his work for Disney: ALADDIN, POCAHONTAS, The Beast in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and many, many other classic animated characters!

Keane talks about actually meeting Tex Avery when he first started at Disney 38 years ago, as well as the family ties that he has in drawing: his father, Bill, created the legendary Family Circus comic, and his daughter now works for Disney!

Thanks, Glen, and congratulations!
